From News Center (Text by Huang Jianxia, School of International Education; Photo by Zhang Huiyu, Student Affairs Department (Office) of CPC LZPU Committee): To gain a deeper understanding of and show care for the daily lives of international students on campus, on October 16, 2025, Qiu Fuming, a member of the Standing Committee of CPC LZPU Committee and Vice President, led a team to visit the international student dormitories at buildings D7 and D10 on the Guantang Campus to learn more about the students' living conditions, listen to their concerns, and help create a safe and comfortable environment for their studies in China.

Qiu engaged warmly with students from various countries, asking detailed questions about how they were adjusting to life in China, their academic progress, and any challenges they might be facing. He stressed that the university would provide all necessary support and strive to serve international students well. He encouraged them to study diligently and enjoy a rewarding and fulfilling experience at the school.

The inspection focused on the safety and cleanliness of the international student dormitories. Qiu and his team thoroughly examined the inside of the student dormitories as well as shared areas, and provided specific suggestions for improvement. Students were reminded to pay attention to electrical and food safety in the dormitories, and the importance of storing personal items properly to prevent accidents was emphasized. The international students expressed their sincere appreciation to the school leaders for their thoughtful reminders. They said the visit made them feel the school's genuine care and promised to consciously follow dormitory regulations and work together to maintain a safe and harmonious living environment.

This semester, LZPU's international student community is comprised mainly of four groups: undergraduate and junior college students from the China-Indonesia joint education program, students enrolled in corporate tailored classes, ASEAN Scholarship recipients supported by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Government, and self-funded language students. Currently, LZPU has enrolled a total of 304 international students from 31 countries worldwide. This dormitory visit highlights the university's strong commitment to the all-round development and well-being of international students. It not only strengthens communication between the university and students, but also helps foster a campus culture of inclusion, mutual support, and care. Looking ahead, the university will continue to pay close attention to student needs and provide effective support.
