Good News: LZPU Students Win the Special Prize in the National Finals of the Social Science Award Marketing Contest of University

From News Center (Text by Meng Lisi, School of Trade and Tourism Management; Photo by Yu Xiaoyan, School of Trade and Tourism Management) On July 4, 2025, the results of the national finals for the 16th Social Science Award Marketing Contest of University were announced. LZPU's School of Trade and Tourism Management saw its marketing student team, the "Flying Eagles Team," win the only special prize in the junior college group. Additionally, the "Dream Come True Team" secured the second prize. This marks LZPU's third consecutive championship in this event, following victories in the 14th, 15th, and now 16th sessions of the competition. Instructor Meng Lisi was awarded the title of "Renowned Marketing Teacher," while Yu Xiaoyan received the title of "Excellent Instructor." Huang Liying, the leader of the "Flying Eagles Team," earned the individual award for "Best Leadership." Additionally, LZPU was recognized with the Outstanding Organization Award.

The Social Science Award Marketing Contest of University was initiated by the China Marketing Association, the National Education Examinations Authority, and the Ministry of Education's Higher Vocational and Technical College Business Administration Majors Teaching Steering Committee in 2008. To date, it has successfully completed fifteen sessions and is considered the highest-level and most influential industry competition among college marketing contests in China. It enjoys a strong reputation and profound impact among universities and businesses nationwide, with its professionalism and impartiality recognized across various sectors of society. This competition serves as a public welfare initiative in the field of national marketing.

With strong support from both the university and the school, and under the guidance of competition instructors such as Yu Qiu, Meng Lisi, Meng Liucui, Yu Xiaoyan, Zou Huining, and Xiao Yao, the LZPU teams utilized innovative marketing models such as AI marketing, short video marketing, and community marketing. They continuously optimized their plans and actively addressed various challenges in marketing practice, earning high praise from judges for their innovation and execution. Ultimately, the teams excelled among numerous participants, winning one special prize and one second prize, showcasing the exceptional quality and professional skills of LZPU students majoring in marketing. This achievement also represents a significant milestone in LZPU's ongoing efforts in major development and practical teaching reform.
